Our History
Rooted in Conservation
Kenya Forestry College (KFC) is a premier TVET institution located in Londiani, Kericho County, Kenya. Established in the 1956, the college has been at the forefront of training forestry and natural resource management professionals in the region.
The college was founded to address the critical need for skilled forestry technicians in Kenya, operating under the mandate of the Kenya Forest Service (KFS). Over the decades, KFC has grown into a respected institution producing graduates who serve in forest conservation, timber management, wildlife, and environmental sectors.
Situated on a serene area surrounded by indigenous forest, KFC provides an ideal learning environment that immerses students in the natural ecosystems they are trained to protect and manage.

Our Journey
Establishment
Kenya Forestry College was established by the Kenya Government to train forestry personnel for the Forest Department, now Kenya Forest Service.
Early Expansion
The college expanded its training programmes to meet the growing demand for skilled forestry technicians across the country.
Curriculum Development
The curriculum was revised and modernized to incorporate emerging forestry practices and international standards in forest management.
TVET Accreditation
The college was accredited by TVETA (Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority), ensuring nationally recognized qualifications.
NITA & KUCCPS Registration
The college joined the KUCCPS cluster for government-sponsored students and obtained NITA certification, broadening access to education.
Modern Era
KFC continues to offer quality forestry education with modern facilities including a computer lab, library, sawmill training unit, and tree nursery.
